I was delighted when James and Alexa asked me to shoot their wedding at Delamere Manor, Cheshire. Previously the home of Gary Barlow, this grand manor house is an award-winning, exclusive use wedding venue set in the Cheshire countryside.
Delamere Manor has everything you’d want from the ideal Cheshire wedding venue and I couldn’t wait to create this wedding video.
Delamere Manor, Cheshire
The grounds of Delamere Manor really lend themselves to wedding videography. The stunning grounds include 100 acres of woodland, gardens, and a beautiful lake. I captured some brilliant footage of James and Alexa spending time in the grounds (along with the resident flock of geese!) I also shot some aerial footage of the Hall looking impressive in the heart of the Cheshire countryside.
I joined Alexa and her bridal party on the morning of the wedding to capture some bridal prep footage for the wedding film. I always enjoy being there to film at bridal prep: it’s such an exciting time of the day and a good chance to get to know the family. It was also great to see Alexa’s parents’ reactions when they saw her in her dress for the first time: as a wedding videographer it’s always a treat to film a father’s reaction when he sees his daughter for the first time, and Alexa’s dad certainly didn’t disappoint! He even referenced this in his speech later, admitting that he shed more than a few tears!
I also spent some time filming with James and his groomsmen ahead of the ceremony. They were all enjoying celebrating at Delamere Manor with a couple of drinks and cigars!
Wedding Videography at Delamere Manor
James and Alexa’s ceremony took place in the contemporary, glass-fronted Courtyard, which has a fairy light canopy and a fully retractable roof. The wedding breakfast was also held in the Courtyard, followed by the first dance.
We then moved into Gary Barlow’s old recording studio for the evening party. This room has now been styled as an exclusive Cheshire nightclub for the wedding party’s private use, and it was certainly the perfect space for Alexa and James’s party: their guests had a brilliant time!
As a wedding videographer, creating a wedding film at Delamere Manor was a real treat. It was great to spend the day at such a stunning Cheshire wedding venue, and it’s always a pleasure to share a couple’s special day and capture footage of all the guests having such a brilliant time.
