This real life wedding story is perfect for this time of year: it’s a wedding that I filmed last Christmas at the stunning Heaton House Farm in Cheshire.

One of the best things about working as a wedding videographer in Cheshire is there is such a choice of beautiful venues, and Heaton House Farm is certainly one of them. Heaton House Farm is on the borders of Cheshire and Staffordshire and is surrounded by beautiful Cheshire countryside. It was also great to film at this venue in Winter: it added a unique atmosphere to the day.

Matt and Louise’s wedding at Heaton House Farm, Cheshire

I joined Louise at the family home on the morning of the wedding to film the bridal prep, which always captures the feeling of excitement before the big event. As a wedding videographer, it’s always a privilege to be invited to take part in this special bit of the day and get to know the family and the bridal party.

It was then time for the ceremony at the local church, where I captured some emotional footage of Louise walking down the aisle on the arm of her very proud dad.

We then headed to Heaton House Farm, which was looking uniquely beautiful on this misty day in December. It’s the ideal Cheshire venue for anyone wanting a more rustic countryside feel to their wedding, with rolling hills, hay bales, and festoon lighting around the fields and oak trees. Heaton House Farm looked especially picturesque in the Winter and it was a joy to film from a wedding videography point of view.

Whilst Heaton House Farm definitely has a rustic Cheshire farm feel, it also benefits from a fresh, modern twist. The room where Louise and Matt had their wedding breakfast was spacious, airy, and lended itself perfectly to the bride and groom’s chosen decorations. As well as some quirky nods to British and American foods, Louise and Matt had also incorporated lots of photos of their loved ones, some of whom couldn’t be there on the day but were certainly in everyone’s thoughts. I love to capture little touches like this whenever I’m creating a wedding film.

As a wedding videographer, capturing the speeches is essential: they’re so good to look back on in future and listen to again and again. Both Matt’s and Louise’s dad’s speeches were really emotional and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house! Louise also made a wonderful speech dedicated to Matt.

Wedding Videography at Heaton House Farm, Cheshire

Later on I headed outside with Matt and Louise to film some footage in the grounds of Heaton House Farm. Cheshire venues always tend to have beautiful grounds, and Heaton House Farm certainly doesn’t disappoint. The venue was particularly spectacular that evening, as due to it being a Winter wedding night had fallen early and we captured some beautiful wedding videography with the mist gathering and the fairy lights shining in the dark.

Then it was back inside to film the couple’s romantic first dance, before the party really got into full swing!
