I’m a wedding videographer located on the Cheshire border, so I am often invited to shoot wedding videos for couples getting married in and around the Cheshire area.

When it comes to venues that provide the perfect backdrop for a wedding video, Cheshire is hard to beat. Whether you’re thinking of a stately home, a fairytale castle, a stylish hotel, or a beautiful wedding barn, Cheshire really does have it all.
I’ve been lucky enough to be the wedding videographer at a number of Cheshire’s finest wedding venues, and it’s impossible to pick a favourite! However, I’ve managed to narrow it down to a few of my most-loved here (although it’s likely that I’ll have to do Part 2 of this roundup in future as it really is too hard to choose!)
Colshaw Hall, Knutsford, Cheshire
Colshaw Hall is a luxurious and exclusive Cheshire wedding venue. This Grade II listed hall is situated on a private country estate in the Cheshire countryside, and ideally located for Wilmslow, Chester, Manchester, and Macclesfield.
Whenever I’ve worked as a wedding videographer at Colshaw Hall, I’ve loved filming at this sumptuous, peaceful venue. On arriving at Colshaw Hall you’ll sweep down an elegant driveway and pass the beautiful Japanese style garden and miniature lake, both of which look fantastic on wedding films.
As a wedding videographer, great light is always a bonus, so it’s a pleasure to shoot in the light and spacious Stables, Colshaw Hall’s dedicated ceremony room, complete with oak beams and marble flooring.
Colshaw Hall also has a stunning sister venue, Merrydale Manor, which is located near to Colshaw Hall in Over Peover, Cheshire.
Delamere Manor, Cheshire
Previously the home of Gary Barlow, this grand manor house is an award-winning, exclusive use wedding venue set in the Cheshire countryside. Delamere Manor is one of the most exclusive and luxurious wedding venues in Cheshire, and boasts five licensed outdoor spaces for wedding ceremonies.
The setting of Delamere Manor really lends itself to wedding videography, which is one of the reasons this venue has made it into my list of “top Cheshire venues”! The stunning grounds include 100 acres of woodland, gardens, and a beautiful lake. I’ve captured some great wedding videos of couples spending time in the grounds. I also love filming aerial footage of the Hall looking impressive in the heart of the Cheshire countryside.
Inside the venue, the contemporary, glass-fronted Courtyard with its fairy light canopy makes an eye-catching backdrop for wedding videography. A lot of couples like to hold their evening reception in Gary Barlow’s old recording studio, which has now been styled as an exclusive Cheshire nightclub for the wedding party’s private use.
Oddfellows on the Park, Cheadle
Based in Cheadle, Oddfellows on the Park is ideally located for weddings in Cheshire, Stockport, and Manchester. It’s an unusual, inspiring and intimate wedding venue, offering a charming and characterful backdrop for your wedding day. Whether you’re planning a relaxed, informal event or something more glitzy, Oddfellows on The Park is the kind of venue that you can tailor to your exact requirements. In fact, one of the reasons that I love being a wedding videographer at this venue is that no two weddings are the same, which makes it all the more interesting for me!
The Parlour Rooms at Oddfellows are situated on the ground floor with stunning views to the park: this space makes the perfect setting for your wedding ceremony, and I’ve captured some beautiful wedding videography of couples getting married here. You can then head for reception drinks in the adjacent private bar and onto the outside terrace.
